I am an associate professor of economics in the Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. My research examines how historical political economy shapes modern underdevelopment, with a special focus on the economic history of Haiti.

I also create Market Power, a YouTube channel about economics, institutions, and the forces that shape the modern world.
